Botswana and Namibia – the perfect combination of wet and dry; Botswana’s Okavango Delta is one of the worlds great wildlife regions, with an abundance of big game and a top bird watching location, so combining a trip to the Delta with a safari to Namibia is one of our favourite safaris. Namibia’s desert scenery is surreal, a chance to refine your landscape photography while simply enjoying unforgettable locations including a visit to the spectacular towering sand dunes at Sossusvlei. Namibia is home to Serra Cafema, one of the most remote camps in all of Southern Africa, overlooking the Kunene River, with spectacular views of the Angolan Highlands and the chance to visit with the Himba, one of the last nomadic tribes of Africa. Viewing oryx in a desert setting such as this adds the perfect touch of grandeur to the landscape. This safari is the ideal contrast for anyone who has visited East Africa, with the Okavango still one of the best places on the continent to see big cats - and the possibility of viewing Africa’s endangered wild dogs that Jonathan wrote about in the 1980s in his book Painted Wolves. The sight of herds of magnificent red lechwe leaping high though the clear waters of the Okavango is guaranteed to set your heart racing. If you would like to travel with us, please email us at
